Judith has been an enthusiastic supporter from the beginning! I once overheard Judith, at another local store with a friend, singing the praises of From My Shelf, not realizing I was standing near her! Judith is a customer and a friend who puts her money where her house is. For these reasons and many more, Judith is our "Featured Customer" for December.
Currently, Judith is a professor of English and of Women's Studies at Mansfield University. She has published several books of poetry, including Open Heart. Recent classes she has taught include seminars on women authors of mysteries; poetry in translation; the life & poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke. Her personal and professional interests are wide, as she is a person of great passion, intelligence, and kindness.
When we asked Judith to send us a list of her favorite books, she said this was a really fun project, but that her list would probably change if we asked her again in a year. Maybe we will!
