ABOUT US: Who we are, what we do 

From My Shelf is located in beautiful, small-town Wellsboro, PA, right on historic Main Street. We're proud to be a customer-centered, independently-owned bookstore. Our knowledgeable staff and eclectic, ever-changing inventory has garnered us praise from big-city visitors and fellow small-town dwellers alike.

Year-round, we welcome in-store shoppers to browse the more than 40,000 new and gently used books that we have in stock at any given time. In addition, we regularly help our customers with special orders of both new and out-of-print books, sharing our expertise and excellent track record for locating just the book you’re looking for.

SERVICES WE OFFER:

EVENTS: Each month, we sponsor a number of free, fun, family-centered gatherings such as author events, game nights, book club, writers’ group, book release parties, poetry nights, and more.

CUSTOM ORDERS: If we don’t have a particular book in stock, we can custom-order books to arrive in the store for you. Since one of our largest warehouses is located in Chambersburg, PA, new books ordered into the store from this warehouse usually arrive in less than 48 hours! If you are not able to come into the bookstore, please feel welcome to contact us via telephone, email, or facebook (see 'Contact Us') so that we might help you with special orders.

SHOPPING ONLINE with us:  

**for "real" paper, ink, and glue books:  In addition to shopping with us in the brick-and-mortar store, via email, phone, or facebook, you can also shop with us here online, using our cart function, and have your book delivered to you or a loved one anywhere in the country.

**for "electronic" books: Those customers who are enjoying the addition of e-books to their reading repertoire can also purchase ebooks with us, through Google e-books.

Customers using multi-function electronic devices, (such as an Android or iPad), as well as those using most of the dedicated e-readers, (such as Nook or Sony e-reader) will be able to discover, read, and buy ebooks with us.

Unfortunately, if you own a Kindle, we cannot help you with e-books, since the Kindle is a proprietary device, and will only download books from the Amazon website. If you own any other device, we can help learn how to download ebooks.

We are also happy to help you choose and set-up an e-reader device that best suits you, but again, we can't help with the Kindle.

As passionate readers ourselves, we've tried to design the kind of bookstore that we would love to be in, and have expanded in response to the needs and wishes of our customers.

The staff here don't work at From My Shelf because they dreamed of being in sales. Books, people, and community: this is our passion. Come tell us about yours. If there's something you're interested in, chances are there's a book about it.
