Regional History Books

Sadly, many of the best and most-sought-after local history books are currently out of print, and difficult to get our hands on. We get a lot of requests for the Gale Largey books showing the sociological & pictorial histories of Wellsboro, Morris Township, and Roseville. Occasionally, we have a copy here at the store, usually being sold on consignment, from an estate. Please understand that this books are extremely valuable to people in this area, and the price reflects that. Give us a call or email if you are interested.

Other out of print & hard to find books include:

"Wood Hick, Pigs Ear and Murphy" by Bill Pippin

the Thomas Taber series, concerning railroads, lumber, coal, and tannery history of the area

"Seasons Along the Tiadaghton" by Steve Owlett

"Snake Bite" by James York Glimm

These books are slightly easier for us to find, and show up more often at the store. Again, let us know if you're interested, and double-check with us to see if we have any copies in stock now.
